AusFitness Expo Sydney 2026 brought three days of training, competition, fitness brands and a lot of energy to ICC Sydney—and once again showed just how broad the Australian fitness community has become.
Held from 11–13 September at ICC Sydney in Darling Harbour, the expo brought together athletes, coaches, gym owners, fitness enthusiasts and brands under one roof.
There was plenty happening across the weekend, but what made the event interesting was not simply the number of competitions or stands. It was the ability to move from one part of the fitness world to another within a few minutes.
One moment you could be watching athletes compete. A few minutes later you could be testing equipment, discovering a new brand or simply walking through a crowd full of people who clearly love training.
AusFitness Expo Sydney 2026: First Impressions
The strongest part of the expo was its variety.
It did not feel like an event built exclusively for bodybuilders, CrossFit athletes, runners or gym owners. Instead, different parts of the fitness industry shared the same floor.
That made the experience easy to explore even without following every competition or planning the entire day in advance.
The atmosphere was busy without losing the sense that this was fundamentally a fitness community event.
What Was at the AusFitness Expo?
A lot—but the best way to describe it is as several corners of fitness happening at the same time.
Competition
CrossFit, powerlifting, strongman, weightlifting and hybrid racing gave the expo a constant live-sport atmosphere.
Gear & Nutrition
The show floor included fitness equipment, apparel, supplements, nutrition products and training technology.
Try It Yourself
Challenges, demonstrations and equipment gave visitors something to do instead of simply walking past booths.
People
Athletes, creators, coaches, gym owners and everyday fitness enthusiasts all shared the same space.
The Best Part Was the Variety
Fitness expos can sometimes feel like enormous retail halls with a few competitions added around the edges.
Sydney felt more balanced than that.
The competitions created movement around the venue, while the exhibitor floor gave visitors something to explore between events. You did not necessarily need to care about every discipline to enjoy being there.
Someone interested in functional fitness could stop for the CrossFit competition. Strength fans could move toward powerlifting or strongman. Others could spend most of their time discovering equipment, nutrition and recovery products.
That variety is probably the expo's biggest strength.
More Than Watching Competitions
The value of an expo like this comes from being able to interact with fitness in ways that are difficult to replicate online.
You can see equipment in person, compare products, speak to people behind brands and discover parts of the fitness industry you might normally never encounter.
That physical experience remains one of the strongest reasons events like AusFitness Expo still matter.
CrossFit Had Its Place on the Floor
Functional fitness was one of several disciplines represented, with the CrossFit Expo Games returning as an official licensed CrossFit event.
It added another competitive element without turning the entire expo into a CrossFit-only event—which worked well for the broader audience.

What Could Be Better?
The downside of having so many things happening at once is that it is difficult to experience everything properly in a single visit.
If you arrive without looking at the schedule, it is easy to walk past something interesting or realise later that a competition or guest appearance happened while you were on the other side of the hall.
The event works better when you choose two or three things you genuinely want to see and allow the rest of the day to stay flexible.
Check the schedule first, pick your must-see events and then leave enough time to simply explore the expo floor.
Was AusFitness Expo Sydney 2026 Worth It?
Fitness Fans
If training is already an important part of your life, there is enough variety here to keep the day interesting.
Coaches & Gym Owners
Seeing equipment, products and trends in person adds a completely different value compared with browsing them online.
Worth the Visit
Not because every single stand or competition will appeal to everyone—but because there is enough happening that almost every fitness fan can find something worth stopping for.

AusFitness Expo Sydney 2026 worked because it did not try to define fitness as one thing.
Strength athletes, CrossFitters, hybrid competitors, lifters, coaches, brands and casual gym-goers could all find their own corner of the weekend.
There were certainly more competitions, booths and products than anyone could properly experience in one day—but that was also part of the appeal.
You walked in knowing what you liked. You could easily walk out having discovered something new.
Different goals.
One fitness community.
Find your people.
Keep showing up.
